Pakistan,Iran enjoy cultural,religious bonds:Dr Firdous


h5555555555000000022222222222.jpgISLAMABAD April 28 (APP):Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said on Thursday that Pakistan and Iran enjoy strong cultural,religious,historic,economic,political and geographical relations which bind them in eternal friendship and brotherhood.This she said during her meeting with Iranian ambassador to Pakistan  ashallah Shakeri on the occasion of her visit to Iranian embassy.She said that enhanced cooperation between Pakistan and Iran in the field of media and broadcasting would make the relationship between the two brotherly countries stronger.
She said frequent visits by the media delegations from both sides can prove effective in creating better understanding between the two nations.Firdous Ashiq Awan also called for increased interaction between all the  segments of the society as people to people contacts would further solidityfy the bonds   between the masses of both countries.
On the occassion Mashallah Shakeri proposed the development of a joint   documentary on the life and poetry of Allama Iqbal and added that it would be an asset for both the nations.
The minister supported the Ambassador’s proposal and assured full cooperation in this connection.
She also suggested that Iranian cultural programmes and movies shows should be held here so that the people could learn from each other’s culture.  
The Iranian ambassador congratulated the minister on assumption of the charge of Information Ministry and prayed for her success.
