Political leaders condole Moin Akhter demise

KARACHI: The string of condolence on the sudden and sad demise of legendary actor, musician, writer, director and a prominent comedian in Pakistan’s history, Moin Akhter, is continued as Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani and President Asif Ali Zardari have now joined the rests, Geo News reported.

Besides, political and national leaders including Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) chief Mian Mohammed Nawaz Sharif, chief of Awami National Party (ANP) Asfandyar Wali Khan, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ameer Haider Khan Hoti, Governor Sindh Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Chairman Senate Farooq H Naiq, Speaker National Assembly Dr. Fehmida Mirza, Senator Jan Mohammed Jamali, ANP Sindh chief Shahi Syed and many others termed the departure of pride of Pakistan, Moin Akhtar, nothing short of a national tragedy.

In their separate messages, they expressed condolence with the bereaved family and prayed to Allah for eternal peace and harmony for the departed soul.

They prayed may Allah bestow upon bereaved family enough courage to bear this irreparable loss.

Also, they commended his services rendered in showbiz.
