“The fact is people love it. You saw that in the (World Cup) semifinal (in Mohali between the two teams). I think it can make the relations between the two countries better. It’s obvious, you have the two Prime Ministers watching (together), so it’s good stuff,” Sania said according to PTI.
Sania, who got married to Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik in April last year, also emphasised on the positives of getting married to a sportsman.
“Being married to a sportsman, it’s really is a blessing in a lot of ways. Because a lot of times, you don’t need to explain a lot of things and they just go with it. You don’t need to explain the pressure, you don’t need to explain why you need to sleep at 10.
“These are things that are small, but they do cause issues,” the tennis ace said.
Sania also thanked Shoaib for his support in times of need.
