Four more target killers arrested in Karachi

Karachi PoliceKARACHI: Four more target killers have been arrested Aaj News reported on Wednesday.

According to reports, two out the four target killers are suspected to have killed at least 45 people.

It was also reported that police arrested a target killer named Umar from the Orangi Town area.

Meanwhile, Interior Minister Rehman Malik while talking to the mediaalong withChief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah at the CM house in KarachionTuesday said that around 58 target killershave been arrested in Karachi.
According to the interior minister out of 557 murders in Karachi in the period of January to April, 153 were target killings.

He said deaths or killings were portrayed as target killings.
The interior minister lauded the services of the chief minister and Sindh Inspector General (IG) Fayyaz Leghari and Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Saud Mirza.
Also addressing the media, Sindh Chief Minster Qaim Ali Shah said there had been one target killing a day in this period and that there was no justification in questioning the performance of the police or administration if one person dies a day in a population of 20 million.
